Job Description

This position is for a Cybersecurity Analyst/Consultant in the Applied Cryptography team, who will design, implement, and provide consultancy on PKI and Certificates solutions along with maintaining, documenting, and supporting Visa's global Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), implemented key management systems and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

Essential Functions

  • Lead M&A assessments and guidance on PKI and Certificates domains.
  • Maintenance and support all Enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology, including PrimeKey, EJBCA, AWS ACM, and Microsoft Certificate Services.
  • Lead projects to deploy new PKI applications and services.
  • Administer the PKI certificate lifecycle for various applications and solutions.
  • Provide consultancy on technology refresh, modernization, new products & technologies for the enterprise PKI infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance and support to the junior members of the team, and to internal and external end users on PKI and certificate use cases.
  • Support certificate requests and vetting processes for the global certificates’ services.
  • Maintain, support, and troubleshoot PKI systems and applications.
  • Propose and implement improvements to PKI in accordance with standard procedures and change control policies and procedures
  • Manage and Implement changes to the PKI infrastructure in accordance with standard procedures and change control policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvement to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
  • Document design, installations and operations & maintenance guides.
  • Support Visa end-to-end symmetric key management and HSMs.
  • Support requests as per pre-defined sets of procedure and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA), resolve problem tickets and assist other staff members as needed.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot PKI services for problem and failures, providing support and resolutions.
  • Support Data Encryption Deployments and Applied Cryptography.
  • Maintain security certifications
  • Maintain technical certifications

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) practices, policies and procedures;
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) core elements such as Certificate Authorities, Registration Authority, CRLs, OCSP, and Certificate elements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience working on Level 2-3 support of PKI systems and services.
  • Proficiency in one or more Applied Cryptography's core services: data encryption, PKI, HSM and Key management.
  • Strong understanding of protocols like TLS, TCP/IP, OCSP, SCEP, LDAP, ACME.
  • Have a global mindset and collaborate effectively within and across teams in different part of the global landscape.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills on all platforms and tools supported.
  • CISSP and other comparative information security certifications are preferred.
  • IT infrastructure knowledge including operating systems, applications, communications, and network protocols.
  • Have a familiarization with Industry standards as applied to asymmetric and symmetric key usage.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills along with the ability to present complex security subjects to internal work groups and projects.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • The ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results.
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on very tight deadlines.
  • Be a self-motivated and results oriented individual with an attention to driving aggressive project timelines and schedules.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others to achieve a high level of success.
  • Sound interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop, maintain and foster constructive relationships with others.

Work Hours:

  • This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekends (Will be part of an on-call rotation)

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
