Job Description

We are seeking a proactive individual to join the Finance team supporting Global Corporate Functions at Visa. As a finance business partner this person will cultivate operational partnerships across several functions to drive strategic and financial thought leadership and complete the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes. The successful candidate should be comfortable presenting financial results and providing insights and analysis to business partners and executives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial and general business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating with various functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month end close and enhanced financial/business reporting, business case development and business planning support.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.

  • Acquires and maintains a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the business.

  • Applies overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.

  • Demonstrates well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Is team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

  • Operates with minimal supervision and is able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently.

  • Identifies and implements changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• 5+ years of business experience with a financial/analytical/consultative focus with progressively increasing responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years of business experience with a financial/analytical/consultative focus with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with senior level executives
• Ability to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges for operating divisions as well as Finance while delivering top-quality customer service.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting, month end close and process development.
• Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required
• Experience with a complex financial system (e.g., Hyperion, TM1, etc.) is preferred

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Location: When we return to office this role will be based in Foster City, CA and will be onsite for a few days a week in accordance with a Hybrid work schedule.
