Job Description

The Visa Direct Product team is responsible for leading Visa’s efforts to support all channels and extend payouts “beyond the card”. Building on Visa Direct’s market leading platform, the Visa Direct service enables corporates, governments, banks. Fintechs, etc., unprecedented options to send payments to consumers and small business around the world.

We are seeking a Product Solutions team member who can help drive critical growth initiatives, both globally and regionally, in a complex, matrixed environment.  The ideal candidate will be a structured, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in how products are developed and delivered. S/he enjoys variety and collaborating with people. S/he is thoughtful, curious and analytical with a desire to make an impact. S/he is client-centric and oriented around finding solutions to complex problems.

This product role will report to the Director of Cross Border/Remitter Product Delivery.  The role holder will be responsible for the commercialization of Visa Direct capability focusing on cross border remittance as a segment and key global and regional actors providing cross border money remittance services.  This includes global money transfer operators, fintech and digital first providers as well as traditional commercial and retail banks.   

This role, in partnership with cross functional internal stakeholders, will work daily with strategic partners to develop and deliver on work plans to grow consumer awareness of Visa Direct.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for working collaboratively with global remitters and Visa Direct product teams both global and regional.  Working within the organization for timely solution launches, you will support engagements with client stakeholders, pitch value proposition and help create solutions for various cross-border remittance opportunities.  

You will need to:

  • Become a Visa Direct Remittance SME and support remitter growth objectives
  • Consult with clients and partners and to develop and deliver solutions that accelerates the adoption of Visa Direct Cross Border
  • Partner with segment leads for Cross Border Remittances to focus efforts on key sending and receiving markets
  • Represent voice of the client within the Visa Direct ecosystem and work closely with product and account teams to ensure readiness and growth opportunities
  • Work closely with destination corridors/regions to drive cross border volumes for key corridors into the region/sub-region (e.g. Africa, LAC, AP)
  • Work closely with stakeholders across all functional teams (Products, strategy, sales, ops, finance, technology) to create strategies, market development plans, product/program forecasting and perform other product management activities.
  • Communicate priorities, activities and program results to the larger organization.
  • Provide business and technical solutions for new use-cases penetrating target markets, by assessing market/client/prospect needs, reviewing ecosystem readiness, collaboration with regional, global, and cross-border product and commercialization teams

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work
experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience
with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant
experience with a PhD

Other Qualifications

• Experience in global and/or regional remittances, payments and/or payment marketing, having
performed product management, product marketing or solutioning roles
• Experience in developing a cross border payment flows strategy with personal remittances
• Skilled at client conversations and can clearly articulate technical solutions
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable
way.
• Organizational and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate and drive results
• Operates under minimal supervision. Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is
rapidly evolving.
• Consultative product solutions experience within an enterprise or financial services environment
• Knowledge of regional market, competitive landscape and related dynamics
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate with
customer at the center
• Strong attention to details with the ability to associate data and trends to business drivers
