Job Description

The Credit Settlement Risk (CSR) team is responsible for protecting Visa from financial losses relating to the Visa Indemnity arising from the failure of Visa clients, while enabling and supporting innovation and responsible business growth. CSR maintains credit settlement risk policies and procedures and regularly review clients to manage settlement exposure.

This role will support the long-term strategy for the Global CSR Operations group, responsible for delivering on commitments for CSR, with responsibilities for organizational strategy, process optimization, communications & change management, training & development, organizational tools and information integrity. The CSR Operations group is responsible for ensuring CSR operates in alignment with its business objectives, policies, and procedures across all regions (AP, CEMEA, Europe, LAC, and NA).

Using data visualization tools (Tableau and Power Business Intelligence), this role will play an essential role in the continued improvement of the CSR’s management reporting. In addition, this role will provide a unique opportunity to support and improve CSR’s operational excellence in collaboration with CSR teams in all regions and CSR’s key stakeholders (e.g., Risk Analytics / MIS Team, Data Product Development, Licensing, Treasury, Finance). The individual will also be able to lead specific projects, contribute to others, identify improvement opportunities, and implement them.

Role & Responsibilities

This role will

  • Play a key role in the creation, update or improvement of reports using Tableau and Power Business Intelligence.
  • Participate to the review and reconciliation of key CSR reports, using large amount of data to re-calculate and validate the content of these reports (using Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or SQL).
  • Prepare periodic reports for management and CSR stakeholders.
  • Support key CSR processes by either driving or coordinating global operational or control activities (e.g., periodic revalidation of capital equity guidelines).
  • Collaborate in or drive cross-functional and/or cross-regional engagements and strategic initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders that support business growth while addressing risk concerns.
  • Identity and drive information systems and processes improvements to drive operational excellence and discipline across CSR.
  • Support the management of CSR’s suppliers, including budgeting and procure-to-pay activities.
  • Support systems and process implementations and enhancements.
  • Support or drive internal compliance and audit activities (e.g., audits, risks and controls self-assessments).

Minimal travel is required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
o 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
o Bachelors’ degree or equivalent skills and experience in related field and up to 4+ years of total work experience.
o Up to 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Operations / Process Improvement, or up to 2-3 years of experience in a strategic consulting firm
o Data analysis and visualization experience.
o Mastery or advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Business Intelligence or Tableau.
o Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint, strong knowledge of SharePoint and PowerApps is a plus.
o Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise conclusions
o Strong business analysis skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a positive customer-service attitude are essential.
o Comfortable with handling multiple projects at once and knowing when to escalate, as appropriate.
o Ability to analyze data and come up with relevant insights as the basis for making process and credit decisions.
o Knowledge of the payments industry and experience in risk function is a plus.
