Assistant Professor (3 Positions), School of Nursing|
The School of Nursing at SIUE is seeking candidates for three (3) full-time tenure-track/tenured nursing faculty positions. Responsibilities of these positions include teaching in the school of nursing, service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies relevant to the mission of the organization, and for scholarship relevant to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, or the education of nurses.
The SIUE School of Nursing's fully accredited programs are committed to creating excellence in nursing leadership through innovative teaching, evidence-based practice, quality research, patient advocacy and community service. Enrolling nearly 1,000 students in its baccalaureate, master's and doctoral programs, the School develops leaders in pursuit of shaping the nursing profession and impacting the health care environment.
Through expanded programs located on the SIU Carbondale campus and SIU School of Medicine campus, the SIUE School of Nursing is helping to solve the region's shortage of baccalaureate-prepared nurses and enhance the quality of nursing practice within hospitals and medical centers.
Terms of Appointment
Academic term, Tenure-track/tenure position beginning mid-August 2018.

Qualifications & Requirements
Preferred candidates must have teaching experience and/or clinical experience in undergraduate or graduate programs in the area of medical-surgical, psychiatric-mental health, public health, family nurse practitioner, nurse anesthesia, or health care nursing administration. Programs are CCNE approved through 2018. A doctorate (Ph.D., EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) is required for faculty position. Teaching experience and research experience preferred. Illinois and Missouri licenses required.
