The Climate Action Campaign is a highly effective, unbranded coalition of national climate, conservation, and progressive groups, state and local partners, and key allies working to protect clean air and promote action to limit climate change. The Campaign regularly partners with national and state-based groups, as well as leaders from diverse communities, to promote climate action, defend against attacks on the Clean Air Act and climate change policies, and showcase the unyielding transition to clean energy driven by state, local, and federal action.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The executive assistant will be responsible for supporting office operations and serving as assistant to the campaign director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serving as scheduler and professional assistant to the campaign director
o Managing the campaign directors schedule and time to facilitate connections with coalition members and staff regarding top-tier priorities
o Ensuring the campaign director has relevant information and materials for each meeting
o Handling meeting logistics: travel, briefing reports, meeting materials, meeting participation, note-taking, and tracking follow ups and due-outs as requested
o Supporting project management for campaign-wide initiatives and surge moments as requested
Maintain organizational operations
o Providing operational and systematic support to the campaign director and others as requested
o Managing information, record keeping, and filing systems
o Scheduling, supporting, and staffing routine meetings and briefings
o Working with Operations Team and Sr. Director of Operations to manage organizational operations, including office management, on boarding and off boarding of staff, campaign-wide service support, and operations fellow
o Providing administrative support, as requested
o Developing and copy-editing presentations, reports, and memos as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
Strong attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Professional and highly organized with quick problem-solving skills
At least 1-2 years providing support to an executive or an executive team
Ability to maintain records and manage office needs
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced campaign environment
Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills
Interest in environmental issues, politics, and campaigns a plus
Ability to multi- task and triage incoming requests
Confidence working independently or as part of team
The successful candidate will possess the ability to use good judgment while maintaining discretion and confidentiality in all dealings and will be committed to excellence required to get the job done.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations.
Compensation & Location
Salary is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, and 401k plan. This position is based in Washington, D.C.
