We invite applications for a faculty position in the Department of Practical Theology in the Undergraduate Division of Religion and Philosophy beginning in August 2020. Applications from underrepresented groups are encouraged.
Practical Theology, Youth and Family Ministries, and/or Christian Ministries. The desired faculty member will demonstrate clear familiarity with the multidisciplinary nature of practical theology. In addition, they will possess both academic training and practical experience related to youth ministry and/or Christian ministry in a faith community or non-profit organization.

Assistant Professor or higher rank depending on experience
Qualifications: Terminal degree completed in practical theology or other relevant theological discipline from an accredited academic institution. Demonstrated teaching excellence. Interest and engagement in scholarly research expected. Bilingual communication skills desired.
Demonstrated ability teaching in an undergraduate setting with substantial ministry experience in a local faith community or non-profit organization. Theology informed by the broad Wesleyan tradition and willingness to engage students from that perspective.
Ability to integrate Christian values in all aspects.
Ability to think and communicate theologically
Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
Ability to collaborate with other faculty and staff and maintain collegial relations.
Self starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
Ability to appropriately balance and apply personal strengths as a member of a team.
