Securities Research Associate - Digital Assets / Web3, ANL-ASO, NY #193635
Join Credit Suisse as a member of the US Equity Research team based in the Americas. In this role, you will become immersed in the Crypto / Web3 industry, work amongst top-ranked research analysts (as measured by Institutional Investor) across sectors (e.g., FinTech, Internet, Software, Telecom & Networking, etc.), and attend industry conferences. This is a unique opportunity to be on a first-of-its-kind research team covering the Crypto / Web3 industry including DeFi, payments, Web 3 applications / Layer 0, 1, 2 protocols, NFTs, exchanges, wallets, etc. You will have frequent exposure to management teams of leading start-ups, public companies, and institutional investor clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Track industry developments and engage with industry contacts to form differentiated insights.
- Assist in the creation of thoughtful frameworks for the industry across sectors and end-markets.
- Analyze industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the senior analyst.
- Build and maintain relationships with leading public and private companies.
- Review business/trade publications, annual reports, financial filings and other sources to capture, synthesize, and interpret data on companies followed by the senior analyst.
- Create, monitor and maintain financial models and industry databases ensuring correct and up-to-date information for research reports.
- Provide analytical support by discovering/interrogating the key assumptions that drive these models.
- Assist in writing research notes and reports based on senior analyst's investment theses.
- Prepare and format reports; organize data.
- Attend industry conferences.

Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for applicants with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with strong academic background required (preferably finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering or a quantitative background).
- Have a demonstrated passion for blockchain technology and the broader crypto landscape.
- 2-4 years of relevant industry experience (e.g. equity research, working at a FinTech or Crypto-related company, management consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proven understanding of business modeling and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent PC skills; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must.
- Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 required - successful completion will be required shortly after employment begins
