Were looking for a versatile and experienced Data Governance specialist with experience in Data Security, Compliance, Data Strategy, and Data Quality. You will help shape Coupas data governance strategy and will support the Business Operations team by leading the effort on our data governance program and processes, working across operations, data architecture, IT and analytics functions.

Responsibilities: Serve as a subject matter expert to ensure that policies related to business critical and sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planningDrive the discovery of master data requirements across different business units at Coupa and provide tactical and strategic solutions, consistent with broader company objectives and with an aim to drive organizational focus and operational excellenceLead initiatives related to data integrity, data quality, and compliance as it relates to Coupas data assets and ensure controls and processes are documented, implemented, and monitored.Develop an operating model for effectively cataloguing, certifying, and auditing analytics and operational data assets & reports as well as drive adoption and measure usage. Facilitate the development of data quality framework, and adoption across the enterprise for key data domains like account, contact, opportunities, entitlements.Define governance KPIs to identify maturity of data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and overall adoptionCollaborate with stakeholders, data owners and users to implement repeatable and reliable businesses processes in support of new and existing data capabilities. Drive change management and user trainings as it related to introducing new policies and controls.Create metadata and reference data repositories, business glossaries, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process flows, training materials and related data governance procedures. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in a master data & governance roles, preferably in a SaaS companyKnowledge of GDPR, SOX, PII and other data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issuesStrong SQL Skills; familiarity with other technologies a plus (e.g., Python, Tableau, Salesforce, NetSuite etc.)Strong understanding of B2B business model and data domains like company, contact etc.Strong communication and proven experience in working with business & IT for requirement gathering sessions/workshopsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player Nice to have Experience with data governance/data catalog technology solutions (Informatica, Collibra, etc.), including hands-on usage and configuration/setup best practices.Well versed with the industry trends, technology, and products in the areas of data governance and MDM.
