Position Summary: We are looking for a technology leader who will collaborate with a diverse set of business and IT teams within our Life Sciences and Laboratory Products, Genetic Sciences, and Bioproduction divisions to develop scalable and extensible architectures, architectural roadmaps and solutions that deliver value and meet the business goals. Our team will benefit from your prior experience, knowledge of technology trends, excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to learn and present key architectural and technical design approaches enable teams to succeed with their initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Evaluate the technology in use by different businesses and develop roadmaps by collaborating with partners and seeking out opportunities to apply technical innovations to meet needs.
- Review and document business functional and nonfunctional requirements and propose robust solution that meet those requirements in the form of detailed specifications. Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope.
- Help ensure delivery success by providing guidance, mentorship and technical expertise to development teams across multiple projects.
- Participate in architecture related communities that enable idea sharing across teams and use existing technologies and solutions to improve the business value and embrace innovative technologies.
- Propose, author and maintain enterprise architecture standards and frameworks that multiple groups can adopt in order to more easily share and integrate solutions.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical blueprints of IT services, crafting solution options that align IT services with business sponsor's missions, goals and objectives with consideration of implications and trade-offs.
- Lead and conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of 3rd-party tools and products and provide selection recommendations to customers.
Requirements/Qualifications: Abilities /Skills: - Enterprise architecture skills including application, infrastructure, networking and security. Experienced with commercially available enterprise systems such as those used for ERP, CRM, Service Management, Manufacturing & R&D including integration data solutions
- Deep knowledge of software architecture and design patterns including API and microservices
- Ability to provide strategic technology direction and architecture vision encompassing an enterprise view across a large portfolio of projects across the company
- Highly developed facilitation and influencing skills, and comfortable explaining advanced concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leadership.
- Well connected with the technical industry, active in technical groups, think tanks, conferences, etc.

Experience: - 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with software enterprise systems evaluation, implementation, and integration strategies in the context of a large multi-divisional corporate setting
- Proven experience implementing distributed, cloud-based architectures
- Proficient experience with popular enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and Gartner EAP
- Proficient experience in handling multi-faceted problems, from identifying the potential impact on the business to the development of the strategy, execution and communication at all levels with proven results.
- Experience in making connections and conducting benchmarks in the industry and influencing others to adopt approaches that generate value and results
- Extensive understanding of systems and software architectural styles and patterns for software built with modern design approaches, programming languages, and data management technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience building and maintaining relationships in a large enterprise
- Ability to influence decision making from top-down and bottom-up
- Active participation in industry software design and architecture communities
Education / Knowledge: Bachelor’s Degree required (IT, Technology Management, Engineering or an equivalently technological field) OR 15 years of proven experience. A degree or certifications in business administration is desired.
