Purple Team - Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant
About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant to join our Threat Detection Services (TDS) Purple Team. The role will be responsible for providing senior consulting services, mentoring less experienced team members, managing and documenting existing strategic and tactical-level programs, conducting executive reporting, and providing in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding expanding the Purple Team strategy across the Wells Fargo enterprise. Duties include managing/improving current projects and responding to daily queues, as well as identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technology and Purple Team requirements as defined by evolving industry best practices. In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planning
- Provide principal level strategic consulting services to client organizations
- Represent Wells Fargo on Industry boards and committees
- Review and analyze complex larger-scale or longer-term challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
- Identify strategic business investments and alliance opportunities
- Make decisions in complex situations that influence and lead the broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Evaluate and approve process of identified opportunities
- Collaborate strategically and consult with all levels to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Partner with executive management across Wells Fargo to define the business strategy and create then execute corresponding business plans and initiative
- Communicative strategy and related business plans to management
Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5 + years of experience with technical project coordination associated with Red Team, Purple Team, Blue Team Assessments or offensive security research assessment
- 5+ years of experience in the following: creating proof of concepts, creating exploits, or reverse engineering demonstrated through work or military experience
- 5+ years of information security experience including experience in one or more of the following security disciplines: information security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, host/network forensics, business continuity, or cyber threat intelligence
- 3+ years of experience managing cybercrime detection, investigation, and intelligence strategies
- 3 + years of executing ethical penetration testing including exploitation and post-exploitation experience
- 3+ year of experience in network, social, and physical domains demonstrated through work or military experience
Required Qualifications, International:
- Experience in Strategy and Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to manage complex data and reporting projects requiring coordination of resources at different levels both internally and externally
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
- Experience leading, developing, and implementing information security strategies across a complex organization
- Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability assessment or penetration testing
- Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), or Web Application Penetration Tester (WAPT) certification
- Experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting
